Amanda Green

AmandaGreen_headshotA well-known lyricist, Amanda’s projects include writing lyrics for the musical comedy High Fidelity, lyrics for Bring It On The Musical, music and lyrics for Hands on a Hardboy, additional lyrics for the revival productions of On The Twentieth Century and Hallelujah Baby, and lyrics for For The Love of Tiffany: A Wifetime Original Comedy, in which she also costarred. Amanda is a graduate of Brown University, Circle in the Square’s acting training program, and the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop and has been nominated for several awards including three 2013 Drama Desk awards for outstanding lyrics and music (Hands on a Hardboy and Bring It On the Musical), an L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for best score, a Garland Award for best score, as well as a 2013 Tony Award for Best Original Score Written for Theatre (Hands on a Hardboy). Additionally, she is a recipient of the Jonathan Larson Award, the Abe Ohlam Award from The Songwriter’s Hall of Fame for Excellence in Songwriting, the winner of two MAC Awards, and a Bistro Award for Best Comedy Song. Amanda has also appeared onstage, most notably in the musicals Wonderful Town at Lincoln Center, The Sheik of Avenue B, and Avenue Q, in which she originated the role of ‘Gary Coleman.’
